It allows you to animate values over time, such as an element&#8217;s position on the screen or a view&#8217;s opacity. The ‘Animated’ component is a powerful tool for creating React Native Animations in apps.
To use the ‘Animated’ component, you first need to create an ‘Animated.Value’ and specify the starting value for the animation. You can then use this value to drive the animation using one of the animation methods provided by the ‘Animated’ component. For example, you can use ‘Animated.timing’ to specify the duration and easing of the animation, or you can use ‘Animated.spring’ to specify a spring-based animation.

In this example, the ‘animationValue’ is animated from 0 to 1 over a period of 1000 milliseconds (1’’). The animated value is then used to set the ‘opacity’ of the view using the opacity style property. When the component is rendered, the view will fade in over 1 second.
There are many other animation methods available in the ‘Animated’ component, such as ‘Animated.decay’, which animates a value based on a decay rate, and ‘Animated.parallel’, which allows you to run multiple animations concurrently. 
You can also use the ‘Animated’ component to animate the position of an element using the ‘transform’ style property. The Reanimated library aims to provide a more intuitive, higher-level API for implementing common animation and gesture patterns, while still allowing you to access the underlying power of the Reanimated library if needed. Reanimated 2.0, being its latest version, is an alternative library for implementing React Native animations and gestures in applications. It is built on top of the Reanimated library, which provides a low-level imperative API for animating values and manipulating the animated node graph. 
React Native includes an animation library that addresses our performance issues. Reanimated 2.0 offers a more comprehensive, less abstract approach to stacking and, therefore, is more functional for interacting with gesture-based animations. A perk of Reanimated, as we mentioned before, is that it can run animations on the UI thread, which is separate from the JavaScript thread, allowing animations to run much more smoothly.
